The Laténium is the largest archaeological museum in Switzerland. It is located near numerous archaeological sites listed as Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps in the UNESCO World Heritage. Nearby is the Celtic site of “La Tène” that gave its name to the 2nd Iron Age.
Program
A thematic visit of the permanent collections and conservation department will be organised. Archaeologists and conservator-restorers will animate the discussion around a selection of objects of the “La Tène” collection. Free time allowing the visit of the archaeological park and the museum or the temporary exhibition « Émotions patrimoniales » is also planned.
